KIIP Test Schedule 2026
KIIP has three types of tests: a placement test (to start), mid-term evaluations (after Level 4), and a comprehensive final test (after Level 5). All are available in CBT (computer) or PBT (paper) format.
📋 Types of KIIP Tests
- 사전평가 (Pre-evaluation / Placement Test): determines your starting level
- 중간평가 (Mid-term KLCT): taken after completing Level 4
- 종합평가 (Comprehensive test for residency — KIPRAT): after Level 5 basic
- 귀화용 종합평가 (Comprehensive test for naturalization — KINAT): after Level 5 intensive
- Each level also has an end-of-level assessment to progress
💻 Test Formats (CBT & PBT)
- CBT (Computer-Based Test): available weekdays at 3 dedicated centers
- CBT Centers: Seoul (종로구 인사동7길 12), Gwangmyeong (경기도 광명시), Suwon
- Up to 3 sessions/day, max 30 seats per session
- PBT (Paper-Based Test): available weekends at locations nationwide
- PBT available in 15+ cities: Seoul, Busan, Incheon, Daegu, Daejeon, Gwangju, and more
📅 2026 Test Registration
- Registration opens at 9:00 AM on the start date — slots fill in minutes
- Registration closes at midnight on the last registration day
- Visa ratios apply for most placement tests (H-2 vs other visas)
- On the last registration day, open slots available regardless of visa
- Exact 2026 dates: check socinet.go.kr announcements board monthly
✅ How to Check Your Score
- Results posted on My Page on socinet.go.kr
- Placement test score determines your entry level (0–5)
- Score 0–50: start at Level 0 or 1
- Score 51–80: Level 2 or 3
- Score 81–100: Level 4 or 5 (or skip directly to final test)

Test slots fill up extremely fast — often within minutes of registration opening at 9:00 AM. Prepare both your computer and phone before 9:00 AM on the registration day.
